In a pub function room somewhere in the UK, the forgotten sixth student from that infamous Saturday is throwing a reunion. The buffet is out. The boombox is ready. And any minute now, the others will walk through the door.

But what happens when the person nobody remembers is the one who remembers everything?

Part motion-picture homage, part existential crisis, Don’t You Forget About Me is a funny, heartfelt one-man show about teenage memories, nostalgia, and the stories we tell ourselves to convince us that we mattered.

Seen through the lens of the John Hughes classic that defined a generation, this is a percussive and poignant love letter to anyone who has ever wished their life was a little more like a movie.

If you remember the film, you’ll remember the feeling.   But you won’t remember him.

Fresh from its World Premiere at the 2026 Edinburgh Festival Fringe, Don’t You Forget About Me tours the UK from November 2026 to March 2027 and is written & performed by David Shopland and directed by Roann Hassani McCloskey.
