In recent years The Victoria Wood Theatre has taken a significant step forward in reducing our carbon footprint. As part of our ongoing sustainability efforts, we have upgraded our lighting from incandescent halogen lanterns to Chauvet Ovation colour-changing LED technology. This substantial reduction in energy use, alongside our recent solar panel installation, reflects our continued commitment to minimising the environmental impact of our day-to-day operations. For this installation, we partnered with UK-based Stage Electrics, who featured our Theatre in an online article highlighting the upgrades.
Because of these changes we can no longer accommodate incandescent lantern stock from visiting companies, although we maintain a small 4 channel dimmer pack for practicals and specials. Companies who have previously been kind enough to bring their own show files for our ETC lighting desk will be pleased to know that we are pleased to continue offering this service, supporting ETC show files.
