Peter James (1940 -2025)
It is with great sadness that we share the news of the death of Peter James, Trustee and great friend of the Old Laundry Theatre.
“We are so sad to have lost Peter – for some of us a beacon from our Crucible Theatre days, following him through the Lyric Hammersmith, LAMDA and finally Mountview. A wonderful director, an inspiring board member for so many institutions and a great leader of arts organisations.
More importantly Peter was a great friend to our family who were very fond of him and to the Old Laundry Theatre – a wise Trustee whose thoughts and discussions were always so welcome. A legend!”
